New space, new design and new recipes are on the menu at Piedmont Newnan Hospital’s recently renovated cafeteria. The cafeteria, which opened in late December, is now three times the size of the old cafeteria.

“With our expansion, the cafeteria has more than enough space to hold all staff members and visitors during lunch,” said John Teal, director of Food Services at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. “We’re seeing very positive responses. Some people walk in here with their jaws dropped.”

In remodeling the space, Piedmont Newnan Hospital wanted to update the design to be more modern and increase the size to be able to seat more customers. The menu has been updated to include new items as well as old favorites. Piedmont Newnan even managed to slightly lower the prices on old favorites while keeping the new items affordable.

“Instead of serving the same old meat and potatoes, we’re also serving specialties like blackened salmon,” Teal said. “By offering entrees, grab-and-go items and even health-conscience options, the menu meets the needs of all customers.”

The cafeteria is located on the basement level of the hospital. For more information, please call 770-304-4107.
