By: The Citizen
The Twilight Theatre will present a workshop production of “Broadway’s Leading Ladies” tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. This workshop, Twilight’s second this year, features eight ladies performing as some of Broadway’s most famous leading ladies. The show will feature performances by April Coyne, Kimberly Leoffler, Nicole Nipper, Anna Kate Spears, Maggie Spears, Nora Wilfong, Kirstie Wilkinson and and Tarna Zander-Velloso. Audiences will be introduced to leading ladies from famous Broadway shows like “The Sound of Music,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Oklahoma!” and “My Fair Lady.” Twilight’s artistic director Alison Chambers stated, “Rehearsals for ‘Leading Ladies’ started over the holidays. Each of the performers had four voice lessons included with the workshop. Some of the ladies have had vocal training before, some not. Some are veterans to the stage, and for some this will be their stage debut, but one thing they all share is a love of music and theatre. Their strong work ethic, talent, and dedication have really impressed me, and what they have been able to accomplish in so short a period of time is incredible. I’m so proud of them! They are truly some of Twilight’s rising stars.” Performances will take place at the Fayette YMCA Blackbox Theatre. All tickets are $5. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by e-mailing Tickets@TheTwilightTheatre.com. login to post comments |
