In response to the article, “For Christ’s sake, give a cow” [The Citizen, Jan. 2, 2008]: My wife Patricia and I read your article on the Cows for Christ program, which is operated by the Pace family out of their home in Peachtree City.

I commend The Citizen for bringing this wonderful program to the attention of the public. Often, we as Americans become consumed in the acquisition of material possessions; we forget to think about others. Fayette County is truly a loving and caring community.

My wife and I attend New Hope Baptist Church. New Hope, along with other churches in our area, has hundreds of its members on missions around the world like Kim Pace, spreading the word of Jesus Christ.

As a result of your story on this program, my wife and I donated the funds to purchase a cow. I encourage others in our community to support this program. God bless the Pace family.
