Patrons of the Peachtree City Library now have online access to legal forms for documents such as wills, power of attorney forms, landlord, real estate or tenant forms.

Thanks to Gale LegalForms, the database is available online to those with a valid library card and an Internet connection.

The downloadable, printable forms are customized to comply with each state’s laws. They are also continually updated and professionally created.

Topics addressed include bankruptcy, divorce, taxation and landlord/tenant law.

“Gale LegalForms will help empower the residents of Peachtree City, and will allow them to take greater control over their legal affairs," said Jill Prouty, library administrator. "People need access to a cost-effective, authoritative means for understanding the paperwork of common legal procedures. Just as important, Peachtree City Library now serves as a convenient place to offer these services to the community."

The library also has three notaries on staff that can notarize legal forms. The first signature is free, but a $2 per signature fee is charged for each additional signature required.

To access the forms, visit www.peachtree-city/library and clock on the link for “online resources” and then the link for “Thomson Gale LegalForms.”
