The Fayette Daybreak Rotary Club has the solution for your Christmas tree disposal dilemma.

For the fourth year in a row, the Fayette Daybreak Rotary Club has organized a free tree chipping event on January 5, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Fayetteville Home Depot on Pavilion Parkway. Just bring your tree down during the event and White-Meadows Tree Service will toss the tree into their massive chipper for you.

The Rotary Club accepts, but does not require, donations for this service which are then given to Alzheimer Research.

An added benefit to all who come is that that can load up their truck with free chippings to take home.

According to Frank Harris of the Fayette Daybreak Rotary Club, “This is truly a collective effort by The Fayette Daybreak Rotary Club, The Home Depot, White-Meadows Tree Service, Starbuck’s, and Chick-Fil-A”. All labor is donated by the Fayette Daybreak Rotary Club members and the employees of White-Meadows tree service. The parking lot space and Home Depot employees are donated by The Home Depot, and the equipment and gas for the chipping are donated by the owners of White-Meadows Tree Service.

The coffee from Starbucks and the sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A are donated to keep the team warm and motivated.
