JobSeekers of Peachtree City, a non-profit, non-denominational Christian ministry designed to support and assist unemployed members of the community, is seeking a volunteer to provide six to eight hours of administrative work each week. According to Dave O’Farrell, the organization’s executive director, help is needed to prepare resumes, prepare and send weekly messages, conduct telephonic coordination with job seekers, electronic filing and other duties.

O’Farrell explained the workload is heavy as more residents call on JobSeekers for help. The organization meets each Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 208 Willow Bend Road, in Peachtree City. Attendance varies between 30 and 40 men and women seeking employment.

The JobSeekers program attempts to provide the tools and confidence needed to land a new position. The two-hour sessions cover such things as interviewing techniques, networking, personal marketing and much more. The organization also provides scholarships on an as needed basis for advanced career management training.
