Joe and Terri Gaspierik of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Leigh Gaspierik, to Steven Elliott Smith, son of Allen and Brenda Smith of Fayetteville.

The bride-elect is the grand-daughter of the late Robert and Marian Philmon, the late Joe Gaspierik, and Anna Gaspierik of Fayetteville. She is a 2002 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2006 graduate of Queens University of Charlotte where she was president of Chi Omega Sorority. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in music and elementary education. She currently is employed as a first grade teacher at Cleveland Elementary School in Fayette County.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Bob and Evelyn Bell, and Harry and Bertha Smith of Hapeville. He is a 2002 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2007 graduate of Auburn University where he earned his bachelor of science degree in software engineering. He currently is employed with Transdyn, Inc. in Duluth.

The wedding will be Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church in McDonough, followed by a reception at the Hazlehurst House. After the wedding the couple will live in Forsyth County.
