Alene Darnell Davis died Dec. 12, 2007. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wade Darnell Jr., and sister, Thelma Bishop. Memorial services were at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Randy Wood officiating. Survivors include a son, David and Margot Davis, Fayetteville; a daughter, Gigi Mihalik, Fayetteville; grandsons, Travis Mihalik and Rhett Davis; step-granddaughters, Brittany Kesterson and Nicole Kesterson; brothers, Roger Darnell and Walter Darnell; and sisters, Martha Matthews, Helen Banks, Beckie Heidle, and Sadie Egan. Memorial donations may be given to Liberty Baptist Church. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
