Thomas Glidewell, 62, Fayetteville, died Dec. 12, 2007. He was born July 15, 1916 in Fulton County. He was preceded in death by parents, Omer Vinten and Grace Irene Glidewell. He was a retired machinist from Northwest Airlines, American Can Co., and Pratt & Whitney. He was a talented gunsmith and in the last several years turned his talents toward quilting. Graveside services were at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Ind. Survivors include a son, John and Amy Glidewell, Athens; daughters, Dee Dee and Mark Williams, Evans, Ga., Jennie and Wes Fuller, Appling, Ga., and Carolyn Glidewell, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jeffery Williams, Daniel Williams, and Matthew Williams, Coleman and Ellie Fuller; a brother, Richard and Linda Glidewell, Zionsville, Ind.; a sister, Cyndia and Kevin Gerner, Indianapolis; and sisters-in-law, Janie and John Hobbs, Silverton, Ore., and Carolyn and Dale McNamara, Fountaintown, Ind. Memorial donations may be made to Southwest Christian Care or Walk for Autism-Augusta. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
