Willie Hugh Chafin Jr., 60, Decatur, died Dec. 13, 2007. He was born Aug. 8, 1947 in Atlanta. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Hugh Chafin Sr., and his stepfather, John T. Ashby. He had owned several businesses including a body shop, a commercial door company, and an antique store. He was an excellent mechanic and master carpenter. Services were at the A. S. Turner & Sons chapel with interment at Ozias Primitive Baptist churchyard, McDonough. Survivors include a daughter, Michele Chafin, Fayetteville; mother, Margie Ashby, Decatur; a brother, Doug and Bonnie Keaton Chafin, Avondale Estates; one niece; and one grandnephew. Memorial donations may be given to the Corinth Baptist Church, 398 Corinth Rd., Jonesboro, GA 30238. A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur, was in charge.
