Mellow Mushroom restaurant, located in Peachtree City, is off and running with their “Shroomin’ for a Cure” fund-raising efforts for the American Cancer Society’s 2008 Relay For Life of Fayette County.

Jim and Vickey Utting, Peachtree City residents and owners of the Peachtree City Mellow Mushroom restaurant, recently held a bowling fund-raiser at Junction Lanes in Newnan.

This kick-off event raised $1,866. Fourteen teams contributed and competed in the event. The fun night included a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing and team sponsorships.

The winning team included bowlers Lisa and Ralph Berger and Pam and Kim Smith. Mellow Mushroom raises money throughout the year with a used book sale. Additional book donations are always appreciated.
