Scouts compete in annual Raingutter Regatta

Boy Scout Pack 409 recently completed their annual Raingutter Regatta. Each boy builds a boat from a kit and then creates their own individual design. Boats are placed in a raingutter filled with water and the Scouts blow on the sail to move their boats to the end of the raingutter.

This year’s winners, pictured, include: (front row) (Tigers-first grade) Ryan Grisamore, Best Design; Brandon McRae, third place; Jacob Knopp, second place; and Liam Artman, first place; (Wolves-second grade) Eric Donevant, third place; Wade Kaiser, second place; and Jackson O’Neal, first place. Conner Croft won Best Design.

Other winners include: (middle row) (Bears-third grade) Christian Roddy, second place and Austin Zaharoff, first place; Best Design winner and third place finisher was Will Griffin (not pictured); (Webelos first-fourth grade) Will Sanders, Best Design; John Hyle, second place; and Ross Marshall, first place. Logan Smith (not pictured) placed third. For Webelos in second through fifth grade, winners include Kyle Wegner, first place. Best Design and second place went to Philip Mendola and third place went to Connor Childers, not pictured.
