FPC welcomes Dr. John Skelly as interim pastorTue, 12/18/2007 - 4:45pm

The Rev. Dr. John Skelly, a 32-year veteran Presbyterian Church minister, has assumed duties as interim pastor at Fayette Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. Skelly’s focus for the past nine years has been on interim ministry. This will be his eighth “interim” congregation. He describes his philosophy in leading the congregation during this time as “listening, learning and then leading.” Skelly attended the University of Virginia where he earned a bachelor of arts in religion, then received his doctor of ministry from Union Seminary in Richmond, Va. Skelly and his wife, Jane, live in Nashville, Tenn., and have three grown daughters, one who recently completed her studies at Emory University and is currently a graduate student at Georgia State.
