Velocity hosts star-studded open house this SundayFri, 12/14/2007 - 12:38pm

Velocity Sports Performance in Peachtree City will host an open house on Sunday, Dec. 16 from 2-4 p.m. In addition to Velocity training demonstrations and “mini” training sessions, there will be an inflatable obstacle course and moon bouncer, autographs and photos with professional athletes, including Johnny Estrada, catcher for the New York Mets. Also appearing at the open house will be Jaybriel Holbrook, a professional football player with the Austin Wranglers, Liam Banks, a professional lacrosse player with the San Francisco Dragons, and elite triathlete April Gellatly. The event will also be a food drive for the Optimist Club. Visitors can win autographed items from Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson. Get one raffle ticket for each non-perishable food item you bring to the food drive. Those who purchase a membership to Velocity will be entered in a drawing to win an iPod. The Citizen’s Mike Boylan and Kevin Wandra from The Citizen Sports Blitz will also be on hand, taping segments for an upcoming episode of Fayette County’s only high school sports show, broadcast exclusively at www.thecitizen.com.
