Whenever I talk to Steve Brown, whether at sporting events, or on the street, I walk away hoping that Steve will pick up the banner and represent the citizens of our city and county again.

He fits my idea of what a politician should be: Someone prepared to volunteer his time and energy, to represent and serve, of the people, by the people, for the people.

Steve researches the issues and laws, then unclouded by special-interests, makes a principled stand on his decision, even if it is an unpopular position.

When Steve was mayor of PTC, every position that he took — from the tennis “club” fiasco to uncontrolled growth (and in the case of PTC, deviation from “the plan”) — has since been proved correct.

I believe that Steve Brown will represent the citizens of House District 72 with wisdom and integrity.
