Mary Ann Hornsby, 71, Locust Grove, died Dec. 2, 2007. She was born Sept. 5, 1936 in Fayette County, daughter of Rufus and Mollie Belle Nelson Burdette. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Hornsby Sr. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Darron Turner and the Rev. Sam Calliero officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta.

Survivors include a brother, Marshall and Dorothy Burdette, Griffin; a sister, Evelyn and Ray Jones, Tyrone; sons, Dan and Tina Hornsby, Griffin, Herbert and Sandra Hornsby, Brooks, and Jack and Lynn Hornsby, Senoia; a daughter, Leah and Darron Turner, Locust Grove; grandchildren, Kenny, Billy, Mandi, T.J., Justin, Natasha, Jessica, Alicia, Bradley, Melony, Dustin, Codey, Veronica and Jesse Marie; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cody, Hanna, Austin, Lauren, and Jake. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
