Scouts earn Eagle rank

John Trinquero and Daniel Plante were recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award given to Scouts. To become an Eagle Scout, the young men have fulfilled service projects, and demonstrated outdoor skills and leadership abilities. The completion of their individual service projects earned these Scouts with the honor that only about 5 percent achieve.

Trinquero's service project included the building of a wooden fence for a new petting zoo at the Fayette YMCA. Plante built a food bridge over a creek at Starr’s Mill High School. These young men not only join their siblings in this honor, they also join the more than 1.7 million young men who have earned this rank. Both boys are members of Troop 211 which is sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City.
