Nicole Mathis, a 2006 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and now a business major at Brewton-Parker College, has been awarded a Johnson & Wales University scholarship and grant to pursue a bachelor of science degree in hotel administration at the Charlotte, N.C., campus. Mathis, a member of the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH) and the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), is an employee at the Hampton Inn in Fayetteville. She is the daughter of Nate and Danielle Mathis of Fayetteville.
