Whitewater High School participates in GSU music program

Each year Georgia State University’s School of Music invites high schools across the state to participate in its Honor Chorus Program. During the two-day event, students have the opportunity to meet with professors and work on music comprehension, voice and artistic performance.

Of the 113 students who attended, 16 were chorale members representing Whitewater High School, including Ashton McCranie, Eleanor Clifton, Ashley Helms, Amanda Adams, Sara Crawford, Rachel Robinson, Caitlin Wade, Greg Clifton, Brent Davis, Drew Miller, Ryan Akins, Nick Gividen, Eric Lindsey, Eric Roche and Robert Blythe.

Several students performed selected pieces for vocal evaluation and were given scholarships. Eleanor Clifton, a senior at Whitewater High School, was awarded first place.
