The Southern Crescent Chorale’s 2007-2008 concert series marks their sixth season and promises to deliver a variety of performances for the enrichment of the Southern Crescent community. Holding an important place in our vibrant arts community, the chorale is conducted by renowned choral director Janice Folsom. Concerts are planned at venues throughout the region and will include dynamic performances of a major choral work, along with other classical works and Broadway favorites. With national-caliber voices and a challenging selection of material, the Southern Crescent Chorale has established a reputation and following that continues to grow with every performance. Begin the holiday celebration on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. at Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church, where the chorale will host the holiday performance, Christmas with the Southern Crescent Chorale. Accompanied by a professional orchestra, the chorale will perform a variety of scared, traditional and secular favorites. A highlight will be “Gloria,” a 17 minute work by John Rutter. Also included on the program are holiday favorites such as “Bring a Torch Jeannette Isabella,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Joy to the World,” “The First Noel” and more. Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church is located south of the Fayetteville square at 1183 Highway 92 South in Fayetteville. Tickets will be available at the door and in advance $15 for adults and $12 for students and senior citizens. For advance tickets, contact any chorale member, purchase online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/24564 or visit By Invitation Only- a card shop located on the square in downtown Fayetteville at 119 South Glynn Street.
