Promise Place opens new business office in FayettevilleTue, 11/27/2007 - 5:24pm

Promise Place, the Council on Domestic Violence that serves Fayette, Pike, Upson and Spalding counties, has opened a business office in downtown Fayetteville. The new location is two doors down from the Train Depot at 220 East Lanier Avenue and will meet the needs of an increase in clients and help to maintain the privacy of the women and children living at the emergency shelter. Business hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Promise Place is a nonprofit organization that provides excellent resources for those who are victims of domestic violence. An emergency shelter, crisis support, help through the legal processes, food, clothing and counseling are offered at no cost to the victims.
