United Daughters of the Confederacy honor Veterans

The Frankie Lyle Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy in Jonesboro, Ga., observed Veterans Day on Nov. 4 in a Ceremony of Bestowal of Crosses of Military Service to eight in appreciation for their service to our country by presenting each with Crosses of Military Service.

Pictured are: Natalie Davis, President of the Frankie Lyle Chapter #2074; Martha Locke, Georgia Division President,UDC; William Frank Daniels Jr., recipient of the National Defense medal; Jeris Newsome, who accepted the Vietnam Conflict medal for her father, Jerry Bennett Newsome, awarded posthumously; Ronald Lee Tribble - Vietnam Conflict; Linda Murphy accepted the WWII Cross awarded to Margaret Beatrice Allen posthumously.
