• Pippin graduates from basic military training Air Force Airman Traci D. Pippin has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. She is the daughter of Fred and Charlene Pippin of Peachtree City, Ga. Pippin is a 2006 graduate of McIntosh High School, Peachtree City. • Gambles graduates from basic combat training Army Reserve Pvt. Kaytland R. Gambles has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises. She is the granddaughter of Fawn Snitzer of Pulaski, Tenn., and niece of Richard Snitzer of Peachtree City, Ga. • Bulger recognized as top graduate Pfc. Will Bulger was recognized as the top graduate at Army Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training during the Oct. 19 graduation ceremonies held at Ft. Benning, Ga. Bulger was selected as the “Soldier of the Cycle” from among the more than 200 soldiers of Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 19th Infantry and was awarded the Army Achievement Medal. During the Infantry Turning Blue ceremonies held Oct. 18, Bulger lead the men of Delta Company in reciting the Infantryman’s Creed. The following day during graduation, Bulger lead the over 400 soldiers of Alpha and Delta Companies in reciting the Soldier’s Creed. Bulger is the son of Eric and Kelly Bulger of Peachtree City and a 2006 graduate of Landmark Christian School. login to post comments |
