Jim Mottola, Pick Parks, and the agents and staff at Parks & Mottola Realtors in Newnan recently welcomed Michael Bass, President and Chief Executive Officer of Piedmont Newnan Hospital, as special guest speaker at one of the company’s semimonthly information and training meetings.
Bass spoke about Piedmont Newnan’s plans for a new community hospital, with a grand opening expected around the latter part of 2010 or “within 22 to 24 months of groundbreaking,” explained Bass. The site for the new facility is Poplar Road at the I-85 overpass in Newnan.

Bass also covered topics including a general overview of healthcare in our community, the hospital’s efforts to recruit new physicians, advanced technology equipping the new hospital, and the impact the planned growth will have on the local economy. Bass predicts increased development in south Coweta and areas neighboring the new hospital.

Following his comprehensive presentation, Bass fielded inquiries from agents during the brief question and answer session that concluded the meeting. It was an informative, educational presentation.
