By: The Citizen
Clayton State University will open its satellite campus in Peachtree City this January, officials have announced. The campus will be known as "Clayton State University — Fayette." The campus is comprised of 9,000 square feet on the top floor of an office building at 1200 Commerce Drive in the city's Westpark office park. The dedication and ribbon cutting for the facility will take place next week and is an invitation-only event. Local officials have long sought a university presence in Fayette County, and Clayton State has held college-level classes in various locations, starting with space in the city's tennis center complex in a partnership with the Development Authority of Peachtree City. Classes have most recently been held in the LaFayette Educational Center, also known as the old Fayette County High School building. login to post comments |
