Local residents help grant a child's wishMon, 11/26/2007 - 9:31am

It was a wish come true for residents in Fairburn and Fayetteville that fulfilled a greater wish for 12 year-old Pierce City, Florida resident Tim Moore. Battling the effects of a brain tumor, the 12 year-old wanted to meet his heroes, the Tampa Bay Bucs. He got his wish, meeting head coach John Gruden before Sunday’s game with the Falcons in Atlanta. Moore’s trek to Atlanta began when Fayetteville residents George and Sarah Wiley contacted her mother, Sandra Hardy of Fairburn, with the idea of bringing the 12 year-old to the game. Hardy contacted the Bucs and others in Atlanta and the idea began to spread. “Falcons fans made a wish of their own to get Tim to Atlanta to see his heroes,” Hardy said. “The nice thing was that everyone was so cooperative to do what they could for this little kid.” login to post comments |
