Kim Frederking has been named southern region outreach director for The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, one of Metro Atlanta’s largest philanthropic institutions. The Community Foundation (TCF) makes contributions to hundreds of charitable organizations throughout a 23-county area. Frederking will be responsible for building relationships with donors (philanthropists), financial advisors, and nonprofits in Clayton, Fayette, Spalding, Carroll, Coweta and Douglas counties.

Frederking, a former bank executive, has a 20-year background in corporate finance. She most recently served as the executive director of The Coweta Community Foundation, in its start up phase, where she developed plans for business development, marketing, financial systems and board development. Frederking’s position at TCF is a newly created one as the Foundation increases its efforts to build philanthropy in outlying counties by becoming more acquainted with nonprofits and donors in the southern region of its service area.

With $550 million in assets, The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta manages and administers the charitable dollars for 650 individuals and families by matching them with charities and causes that serve their personal philanthropic interests. Last year The Community Foundation awarded more than 4,400 grants totaling nearly $50 million. For more information about programs The Community Foundation funds and guidelines visit www.atlcf.org.
