John and Carol Sollars of LaGrange announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Carole Sollars, to Jonathan George Stravelakis, son of Nicholas and Michele Stravelakis of Peachtree City.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Myrtle Sollars-Easley of Montgomery, Ala., and the late Lt. Col. (USAF) John A. Sollars and the late Foster and Evelyn Sanford. She is a graduate of LaGrange High School and a graduate of West Georgia Technical College with an associate’s degree in medical assisting. She is pursuing an associates degree in registered nursing at Columbus Technical College.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Katherine Stravelakis of San Diego, Calif., Charles and Rosemary Solomon of Columbus, Ohio, and the late Konstantinos Stravelakis. He is a graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in English education, and a graduate of Georgia State University with a master’s degree in English education. He is employed as an assistant professor at Georgia Military College in Columbus.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m. Dec. 29, 2007, at Victoria Belle Mansion in Hogansville.
