I noticed there was a team recently named as an “All Citizen” team. Why not have the same for all major sports (boys and girls) continuing with football, basketball, baseball, softball, and track and field?

This is the norm up north (NJ/NY area) where I come from, and in fact, a very big deal that gives athletes a competitive edge when applying for and being recruited by colleges.

It’s a good thing when you can complete a college application and say you were named “All County” or “All State” by your local newspapers.

Fayette County football teams are certainly worth all that right about now. I for one am a great proponent of bringing the best of the best together as one. Hence, the SouthSide Pioneers Track & Field Club.

Hopefully, after this football season, you will immediately name and publish our “All County” team. I will look for the same, come track and field season.
