Fayette County has a new bank operating in Fayetteville. State Bank of Georgia has opened its doors at 131 Gingercake Road. The bank’s charter was granted last month, and organizers raised more than $13 million in capital without professional help and without institutional investors. The bank has a staff of 14, including banking veterans such as senior retail and marketing manager Lydia Morris, chief lending officer Mike Teal, chief financial officer Kevin Sharpe, senior operations manager Eileen Kempf along with president Jerry Stapleton. “I am thankful to the directors, officers and staff for their hard work in making the dream a reality,” Stapleton said. “I am looking forward to the next several years in making a difference in the markets we will serve in providing financial services delivered by an exceptional staff.” The bank will have a grand opening celebration Saturday, Dec. 8 with activities for children including games, prize drawings, food and more. login to post comments |
