Holy Trinity hosting dinners for Katrina victims Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church will host Wednesday night dinners for families affected by Katrina from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Dinners are planned for Oct. 19 and 26. Those planning to attend are requested to call the church office, 770-487-7672, to let them know how many guests are coming. Holy Trinity is at 101 Walt Banks Rd., Peachtree City. FFUMC’s grief class starts tomorrow Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will offer a five-week class beginning tomorrow which focuses on grief and loss. Classes will be held Thursday nights from 6-8 p.m., from Oct. 20 through Nov. 17. The facilitator will be Carol Sue Ray. The cost is $12 to cover the manual. Vineyard celebrates Hebrew Heritage Vineyard Community Church of Fayette is celebrating Hebrew Heritage Month Sunday mornings during the month of October. Guest speakers include Dr. Rick Smith, Kevin Solomon, and Rabbi Robert I. Solomon of Congregation Beth Hallel in Roswell. Subjects covered: “It’s time to bless Zion,” “Why Hebrew Heritage is important to the Christian,” “The Jewish Wedding and the return of the Messiah.” VCC of Fayette is at 193 Johnson Ave in Fayetteville. Meade to speak at Church of Christ Oct. 23 The Peachtree City Church of Christ invites the community to hear Douglas Meade, executive director of Georgia Agape, speak Sunday Oct. 23, at 10:30 am. Since 1970 the Georgia Agape organization has counseled and assisted birth parents who have chosen to put their infants up for adoption.
