Helen Teague, 83, Fayetteville, died Nov. 6, 2007. She was born July 27, 1924 in Fayette County, daughter of William Russ and Uris Harrell Cooper. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Teague, a daughter, Brenda McKowen, and a brother, Jimmy Cooper. She was a charter member of the Fayette County Historical Society and the Fayette County Business Women's Association. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Evans officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include her son, Bill and Virginia Sanders, Fayetteville; daughters, Joyce and Lee Hicks, Jackson, and Betty Matthews, Peachtree City; grandchildren, Ty and Laura Hicks, Jackson, Rusty and Cheryl Hicks, and Denny and Kim Hicks, all of Newnan, Mike Matthews, and Ken and Susie Matthews, all of Tyrone, Michelle and Micky McMillan, Fayetteville, Billy Sanders, Stockbridge, Tina and Derek Broach, Hampton, and Danny McKowen, Wrightsville; great-grandchildren, Mark, Aaron, Trevor, Cody, Jake, Brittany, Casey, Dustin, Destiny, Derek, Josh, Emily, Zach, Nathan, Christopher, Nicky, Michael, Thomas, James, Sarah, and William; a sister, Carolyn and Hoyt Pye, Cartersville; brothers, Homer and Alleta Cooper, and Jerry Cooper, all of Fayetteville; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Cooper, Barnesville.
