By: The Citizen
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and the Fayetteville Police Department are squaring off in a softball game Saturday for a special cause. Jeff Keahey used to work for both departments and is battling cancer. Keahey’s family is struggling with medical bills, and all proceeds from Saturday’s game will go to the family. The event starts at McCurry Park at noon and includes a softball game, pie-throwing competition and a knife raffle. Admission for the game is $3 for adults and $2 for children. Raffle tickets are $5 each, or five tickets for $20. If you would like to volunteer for the event or have any questions, contact Scott Israel at 770-719-4223 or Chad Wallace at 770-461-6353. login to post comments |
