OLM boys and Landmark girls win state cross country titles

Our Lady of Mercy’s boys cross country team captured their second consecutive state title on Saturday. Their top seven runners were:
• Thomas Raville, 2, 16:48
• Jared Cooper, 4, 17:09
• Richard Schrade, 6, 17:09
• Matt Lethbridge, 7, 17:16
• Matt Fitzgerald, 18, 17:51
• Jake Lethbridge, 23, 18:05.45
• Udare Santha, 24, 18:05.89

Landmark’s boys placed sixth. Their top five were:
• Alek Pike, 15, 17:43
• Chad Thames, 16, 17:47
• Daniel Hix, 19, 17:53
• Mehamed Gomez, 32, 18:27
• Nick Harris, 66, 19:54

Landmark Christian’s girls won their fifth consecutive title. Their top seven runners were:
• Kaity Bulger, 3, 19:59
• Hannah Gravitt, 7, 20:48
• Kenzie Thrasher, 22, 22:05
• Georgiana Moody, 28, 22;22
• Kassi Deel, 32, 22:33
• Kaley Cusumano, 36, 22:52
• Kataleen Duncan, 75, 25:28

Our Lady of Mercy’s girls placed third. Their top five runners were:
• Sarah Hohenberger, 12, 21:11
• Megan Malasarte, 17, 21:33
• Jessica Adams, 24, 22:11
• Andrea Raville, 26, 22:13
• Ashley Kennedy, 37, 22:56

Sandy Creek’s boys placed 29th in the Class AAA meet. Their top five runners were:
• Jonathan Owens, 84, 18:34
• Ryan Leblanc, 176, 19:53
• Sean Williams, 180, 20:05
• Jared Stevens, 183, 20:16
• Jeremy Leblanc, 193, 20:47

Sandy Creek’s girls placed 23rd. Their top five runners were:
• Shelby Bolling, 65, 22:36
• Erin Dunphy, 108, 23:55
• Katie Harper, 187, 27:28
• Kate Welch, 188, 27:38
• Molly Montgomery, 191, 28:17

In the Class AAAA meet, Starr’s Mill placed 12th. Their top five runners were:
• Warren Enriquez, 11, 16:47
• Kevin Killory, 52, 17:42
• Clay Ligon, 79, 18:00
• Stephen Labrecque, 95, 18:13
• Nathan Shenkle, 18:29

Whitewater placed 17th. Their top five runners were:
• Nick Londrillo, 27, 17:12
• John Grafmiller, 67, 17:50
• Sean Plunkett, 82, 18:02
• Ian Michel, 98, 18:15
• Cory Nolan, 114, 18:23

McIntosh’s Vince Brown ran in the race. He placed 13th with a time of 16:51. Nathan Vassey, a Peachtree City resident attending Woodward Academy, placed 7th overall, with a time of 16:37.

Starr’s Mill’s girls placed fourth in the Class AAAA meet. Their top five runners were:
• Jackie Sample, 8, 19:46
• Sarah Balkcom, 19, 20:28
• Jenny Sample, 34, 21:11
• Molly Musselwhite, 57, 21:33
• Jamie Burr, 88, 22:12

Whitewater placed sixth. Their top five runners were:
• Stacey Mangan, 16, 20:22
• Kasie Knapper, 21, 20:32
• Mary Roberts, 51, 21:29
• Lauren Perkins, 66, 21:45
• Clessie Kendrick, 68, 21:46

McIntosh placed 19th. Their top five runners were:
• Emily Kim, 42, 21:22
