The determined Fayette Shooting Stars have a lot to smile about. The team won the U-10 Bronze girls division of the Kohl’s American Cup at McCurry Park on Nov. 12-13. The Shooting Stars had one loss in the regular season, in which they defeated themselves by scoring for the opponent, but they were undefeated at the tournament.
The girls played great during the regular season and were superb at the tournament playing with the determination and tenacity to win. Due to the impressive record, head coach Tai Laosebikan, gave the team a big party at the Dazzles skating rink and each player was picked up from their house in a long stretch limousine. A lot of good things have happened to the team this year as Laosebikan was officially memorialized on the Wall of Tolerance along with Martin Luther King in the Civil Rights Memorial Center in Alabama on Oct. 23. login to post comments |
