The state cheerleading championships took place in Columbus on Saturday and the top four finishers in Class AAAA were all from region 2-AAAA.

Taking first place was Northgate, followed by Starr's Mill, Whitewater and McIntosh.

As the officials called the top six teams to the mat to announce the winners, the top four teams chanted in unison, “Region 2, Region 2…”
