Mr. and Mrs. Geary Kent of Peachtree City announce the marriage of their daughter, Amy Kent, to Jonathan Blanchard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Blanchard of Hinesville. The wedding was Dec. 17, 2005, at the Carter Center in Atlanta, with the Rev. John M. Weber officiating.

In attendance were the bride’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Calbert L. Dings, of Charlotte, N.C. and Mrs. Annie Ruth Eslinger of Winston-Salem, N.C., and the bride’s great-grandmother, Mrs. C.Y. Conder of Charlotte, N.C.

Grandparents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Dumont of Seattle, Wash., also were present.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Sandra Hardy and maid of honor was Amanda Kent. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jennifer New and Elizabeth Caswell. Grace Hardy was the flower girl.

Gary Blanchard served as best man. Eric Tuck and Kevin Weatherly were groomsmen and Thomas Hardy and Scott New were ushers.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 1997 graduate of Winthrop University. She holds a master’s degree in special education from the University of West Georgia. She currently works for the Cherokee County school system

The groom is a 1993 graduate of Georgia Southern University and presently works for Wachovia Bank and Trust Company.

After a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple will reside in Marietta.
