Truong Thi Hong Vi of Phu My, Vietnam, and Richard Adam Whitener of Peachtree City were married in Vietnam July 8, 2005.

The bride is the daughter of Le Hung of Phu My, Vietnam, and the late Truong Tuong. She is the granddaughter of Dieu Huyntt and Truong Chao of Clarkston. She was graduated from Phy My in Vietnam.

The groom is the son of Sherry Soard Whitener of Peachtree City and the late Richard Lewis Whitener. He is the grandson of Martha Soard of Harrogate, Tenn., and the late William Soard Jr., and the late Mary Jo and John Whitener of Hickory, N.C. He is a 2001 graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City and presently is studying commercial diving at the Commercial Dive Academy in Jacksonville, Fla.

A reception for the couple is being planned. They will reside in Atlanta.
