The region 2-AAAA cross country championships were held yesterday at Sandy Creek High School.

Whitewater’s girls won the region title, followed by Starr’s Mill in second place. McIntosh placed fourth and Fayette County placed seventh.

In the varsity boys division, Starr’s Mill placed third. They were followed by Whitewater (4th), McIntosh (5th) and Fayette County (6th).

In the region 5-A meet, Our Lady of Mercy won the boys division with Landmark Christian in fourth place. On the girls’ side, Landmark placed first while Our Lady of Mercy placed second.
