Seven Coweta County Title I elementary schools have been recognized as “High Performing Schools” based on academic achievement which helped the schools receive “Adequate Yearly Progress” (AYP) ratings in all categories under the No Child Left Behind act, and four of the schools received monetary grants in recognition of their achievements. Above are the principals of the schools, including, left to right, Terri Lassetter (Newnan Crossing Elementary), Betty Smith (Ruth Hill Elementary), Sandra Hinton (Eastside Elementary), Bill Sanborn (Jefferson Parkway Elementary), Coweta Schools’ Title I Support Specialist Sherry Warren, Vince Bass (Atkinson Elementary), Julie Raschen (Elm Street), and Karen Barker (Arnco-Sargent Elementary).
