Newnan High School student government officers Sarah Mitchell (treasurer), Greg Abt (president) and Miranda Hose (secretary) hold a few of the 23,858 cans and other food items brought in by Newnan High School students and teachers for this year’s Can-A-Thon. The high school ran a close competition with East Coweta High, which donated 18,837 to this year’s drive. In all, Coweta County schools provided over 102,000 cans to the drive’s total of 165,000 cans collected, not including the emergency can drive earlier in the year. Photo/Special.
