Myrtle Hammond Pierce, 93,Newnan, died Oct. 17,2007. She was born Dec. 22, 1913 in Carroll County to the late Robert Wesley and Mattie Lou Warren Hammonds. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mack King Pierce. She was retired from Playtex in Newnan, and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Danny Wilson officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Survivors include her children, Edna and Billy Hubbard, Whitesburg, Linda and Donald Parks, Daphne, Ala., Patricia and Jimmy Moore, Conyers, Mike and Kim Pierce, Melbourne, Fla., and Zelda and Buddy McCoy, Becky Johnson, and Steve and Linda Pierce, all of Newnan; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
