Sarah Pauline Rainey,73, Newnan, died Oct. 21, 2007. She was born April 24, 1934 to the late Roy Jefferson and Lillian Clark Hinesley in Sargent, Ga. She was also preceded in death by two infant brothers. She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. She worked for many years for the Newnan Housing Authority and was devoted caseworker for the Georgia Department of Family and Children's Services. She retirement years were spent enjoying family and being "Nanee" to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping trips to the beach and mountains with her husband. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Floyd Tenney officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, George Eugene Rainey; children, Don and Sybil Rainey, and Harriett and Slade Ward, Panama City Beach, Fla.; Grandchildren, Brad Rainey, Karen Rainey, Heather Rainey and Jennifer Rainey, all of Newnan, and Chase Penny, Cody Penny, Chris Ward, Roxanne Ward, and Robin Cooper, all of Panama City Beach, Fla.; sisters, Alma H. Peek, and Omogene H. Hardigree, both of Newnan; and childhood friend, Kitty Hendrix. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
