Sturbaum may be new, but he can’t be boughtTue, 10/30/2007 - 4:38pm

To All Peachtree City Citizens: If someone has only been in Peachtree City a year and noticed that something is not right with our council, I think they are very observant. I have been here 15 years, love Peachtree City, and I think it might be a good idea for someone who has a different take on the city to look at it with a different perspective. Doug Sturbaum has been here over a year; however, he has lived elsewhere, where developers were making their mark on the city where he previously lived. He is a smart man, without any attachments. He hasn’t been here long enough for anyone to have bought him out. I work with Doug and find he is very passionate about this city. He wants it to grow, but with some order and without developers handing us ultimatums. He has been at many City Council meetings and is well aware of the needs of the city, city service needs and budget pitfalls. The voters in Peachtree City must take a hard look at who is running for council and what connections they have to the present administration. If we want our city to continue to look like Riverdale, it will, if we continue with our present misguided group. I will be voting for Doug. Even though I have only known him for a little more than a year, I know he will not be bought. Alma MacCallum Peachtree City, Ga. login to post comments |
