I want to thank all of the citizens who have engaged in discussions on the relevant issues to the future of Peachtree City. My family and I know we made the correct decision to make our home here and the pride I have witnessed first hand through the last two months of campaigning in our community is outstanding.

We have a dynamic community spirit that needs to be nurtured and grown. This is part of what makes Peachtree City unique and I believe city government has a role to play in preserving this uniqueness. As your councilman I will work hard to protect this uniqueness.

I would like to tip my hat to the other six gentlemen running for City Council. We have a very committed group of candidates willing to work on your behalf for the betterment of Peachtree City. I look forward to continuing to work with each of them in the years to come.

As I said at the outset of this campaign I believe the vision of Peachtree City is being threatened. Many of these threats come from outside our borders and we must aggressively pursue solutions with our neighbors that enables them to address the problems responsibly but also protects our uniqueness.

We also have some decisions that we need to make within our borders that will do as much and probably more to preserve the promise of Peachtree City.

Decisions will need to be made about our natural look and feel such as buffers between roads and developments, new and/or redevelopment of commercial properties, traffic concerns, and our beloved multi use path system. I will protect the uniqueness and promise of Peachtree City throughout the decision-making process.

As your councilman I will solicit input, concerns and solutions from all citizens prior to voting. I believe that the council must work with the citizens to secure a bright future for Peachtree City. I want Peachtree City to be at the top of the list when my children look for a place to settle down and raise their families.

In light of this we must plan long-term through updating ordinances, encouraging responsible residential redevelopment which protects the existing character of the neighborhood, and planning traffic flows around our city instead of through it.

Throughout the campaign I have laid out my vision for Peachtree City which is in line with the comprehensive plan. The core of the comprehensive plan is the village concept of planning. As your councilman, I will protect the village concept.

In conclusion I ask for your support and your vote to maintain and improve the community we call Peachtree City.

I will work to maintain the uniqueness and natural beauty that we all call home. I will promote an agenda of increased safety, proactively addressing traffic concerns, promoting our green community, promoting responsible redevelopment and enforcing the comprehensive plan.

Now is the time to address the threat to our city. We must elect council members who are committed to listening to the citizens and voting to protect the elements of our city which we, the citizens, deem important.

While I support strengthening ordinances, we must look to our leaders to make the right decision as laws will not account for every situation. We must elect those people that will make those decisions that protect the promise of Peachtree City.

I will bring principled leadership with vision to the council and welcome the opportunity to make the decisions that will protect the future promise of Peachtree City. Please feel free to contact me regarding any concerns you may have. I hope that I have earned your vote.
