The beginning of the holiday season usually means smaller agendas for many city councils. The Nov. 1 meeting of Fayetteville City council will be no exception, where the only items on the agenda will be the second reading of a budget amendment and consideration of an alcohol permit for a local restaurant.

“This budget amendment is for the fiscal year end audit,” said Finance Director Lynn Robinson. “The city receives annually a ‘Summary of audit Report Review’ from the state that indicates any items that need to be corrected to meet their requirements. One of the requirements is that expenditures must not exceed budget at the legal level of control. This final budget amendment for FY 2007 should address this requirement.”

Also at the meeting, the council will consider approval for a beer, wine and distilled spirits license for Latitude 33 Steak and Seafood, located at 805 South Glynn Street.
