Virginia L. Ballard, 92, Fayetteville, died Oct. 5, 2007. She was the daughter of Arvin and Eula Lindler Lamb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ballard, and a son, Travis Ballard. She had worked in the cafeteria at Fayette County High School for 10 years. She was a member of Inman United Methodist Church. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Royeese Stowe officiating. Interment was at the Unman United Methodist cemetery. Survivors include a son, Forrest and Sara Ballard, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Deborah Morris, Danny Ballard, Kim Bradford, Kay Young, Visa Thompson, and Tammy McCabe; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Brown. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
