Donald Augustus McCollough, 65, Sparta, died Oct. 14, 2007. He was born in New Kensington, Pa. He enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking and traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a volunteer firefighter in Sparta. A memorial service was held at Milledgeville First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Vinnie Charleen McCollough; sons, Jim and Amy McCollough, Royston, Tom McCollough, and David and Sandy McCollough, Flowery Branch, Ga.; a daughter, Lisa and Scott Manning, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jamy McCollough, Alexandra McCollough, Jean-Ann McCollough, Amanda McCollough, Alicia McCollough, Dasha McCollough, Jessica Manning, and William Manning; and step-grandchildren, Elizah Simon, and Kailey Simon. Memorial donations may be made to the Holiday Shores Fire Auxiliary, in care of Linda Levesque, 250 Sandy Run Drive, Sparta, GA 31087. Rick Williams Funeral Home, Milledgeville, was in charge.
