Lois Jeanne Barber, 77, Fayetteville, died Oct. 25, 2007. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Prehn, and a sister, Virginia Parker. She was retired from United Airlines with 27 years of service, and was a member of the Dixie Flyers. Survivors include her husband, Gene Barber; sons, Walter Streid, Stone Mountain, Ga., Gene S. Barber, Philadelphia, Pa., Eric A. Barber, Ozark, Mo., Michael S. Barber, Rolling Meadows, Ill., and William K. Barber, Maple Park, Ill.; a daughter, Sandra Hopfensperger, Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Scott Streid, Kristine Reed, Kay Hopfensperger, Jay Hopfensperger, Stephanie Barber, Nancy Barber, and Emily Barber; great-grandchildren; Brady and Bailey Streid, and Rachel Reed; and a brother, George Prehn. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
