Mr. and Mrs. David Loyd Harris of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Harris, to Ben David Ragan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kim David Ragan of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Betty Bailey Mayfield of Fayetteville and Mr. and Mrs. Hollis L. Harris of Peachtree City. She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Margaret Entrekin of Lakeland, Fla. She is a 2002 honor graduate of Starr’s Mill High School in Fayetteville. She is a 2006 magna cum laude graduate of Auburn University where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. She currently is pursuing a master’s degree in organizational psychology at Columbia University in New York City and anticipates graduation in May of 2008.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Winters of Wayland, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. William Ragan of Kahoka, Mo. He also is a 2002 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School. He is a 2006 magna cum laude graduate of Mercer University where he received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and was captain of the men’s soccer team. He currently is employed as an industrial engineer with Armstrong World industries, Inc., in Lancaster, Pa.

A June, 2008, wedding is planned in Atlanta.
